Location

 The stunning Ritz-Carlton, Sharm El Sheikh is located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.  Set in 100,000 square meters of beautifully landscaped ground, the resort overlooks the environmentally protected Red Sea. Sharm El Sheikh is well known as one of the world’s best scuba diving sites.  The resort is easily accessible from Cairo by a 45 minute flight, or 5 hours by road.

Spa & Fitness Center:       

The Spa & Fitness center offers an extensive range of facilities and services including an indoor heated whirlpool, sauna, steam room, aroma-inhalation steam room, treatment rooms, hair and beauty salons, and a unique Arabian massage tent overlooking the Red Sea. 

Treatments include mud and herbal wraps, a sea salt body glow, aroma-therapy, Swedish, Shiatsu and Egyptian massage, reflexology, aromatic flower and milk baths, hand and feet spa treatments, a special program for honeymooners, low calorie spa cuisine and a variety of special treatment packages to suit all needs. 

Natural ingredients sourced locally, including plants, herbs and pure essential oils are used in the holistic spa treatments, containing many of the ancient elements used in the Pharaonic era.

State-of-the-art equipment, including floor and aerobics exercise equipment, caters to every level of fitness. Private body toning and personalized programs can be specially designed to suit individual guest’s needs.

Recreation:                          

Aquatic activities include world-class diving and snorkeling with a Dive center located on property.  A beach volleyball court is set in a Roman styled amphitheater nestled in a private sea-side bay, and for the tennis enthusiast, courts can be lit for night play. A nearby 18-hole golf course is readily available to hotel guests. Swimming pools including a children’s pool, a lap pool and a dive pool. A water park, complete with a ‘lazy river’ for the little ones, entices even the idlest vacationer to leisurely spend the afternoons outdoors. The Ritz Kids center is located in the middle of the Water Park, complete with a man-made beach.  Full and half day programs are available for our little customers.

Sightseeing & Expeditions:          

Nearby sightseeing attractions include desert safari tours, camel riding, the Ras Mohamed National Park (the first marine park in Egypt), Mount Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery.   The nightlife and casinos of Naama Bay are just 20 minutes away.

The Café

DiningAll day dining at its best.  Lavish buffet presentations for breakfast and dinner showcase Californian, European and Middle Eastern specialties, with a la carte menus also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Offers indoor and patio seating in a tropical and airy setting. 

Open daily from 6.00 a.m. – 11.30 p.m., seats 240 indoors and 40 on the patio.

La Luna (Italian)

                                                 Our award winning Italian Chef and Maitre’d welcome guests to this fine dining room in the grand tradition of Italian palaces. Cuisine from the various regions of Italy is authentically prepared for the most discerning palate.  A large selection of international beverages, Italian Espresso Coffees and an expansive choice of Italian wines are available.  The wine room, seats 8 people, is a perfect venue for a private dinner or special occasion.

Open nightly from 6.30 p.m. – 10.30pm, seats 40 people on the terrace and 50 people inside, under its magnificently designed ceiling.

Blue Ginger (Asian)

The magic flavors and spices of the Far East come together on the Red Sea in our specialty restaurant. An exquisite menu prepared by our expert Chef presents a mouthwatering blend of Malaysian, Singaporean, Korean, Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. The 12 seat Teppanyaki table is a focal point amidst the Chinese lanterns and black marble pools.Open nightly from 6.30 p.m.– 10.30 p.m., seats 66.

Fayrouz (Lebanese)

  Gold leaf ceilings, silk wall coverings and a black marble waterfall decorate this exquisite restaurant.  Cozy booth seating and soft lighting create an intimate atmosphere for guests dining pleasure. Native cuisine is prepared by the Lebanese Chef with flavors and spices of the Mediterranean accompanied by finest wines of the region.  Be sure not to miss the nightly performances of the exotic bellydancer.

Guests can relax outdoors on the patio after dinner and smoke the traditional “Shisha” pipes (herbal tobacco piped through water).  Open nightly from 6.30 p.m.-10.30 p.m., seats 100.

The Waves (Poolside Dining)

There is no better place to enjoy the beauty of the pools, private beach coves and The Red Sea.  The Waves Restaurant features light and casual dining with a range of salads, snacks, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and desserts, together with a fabulous range of cocktails and beverages.   Local entertainment nightly  from 6.00 p.m.-7.00 p.m. Open daily from 10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m., seats 130.  

Pyramid Bar (Poolside Dining)

                                                A fun pyramid-shaped bar with a swim-up bar is located in the center of the water park area and offers a wide range of beverages specializing in refreshing frozen concoctions, domestic and international beers and fresh fruit juices. Children’s menu items, chilled fresh salads, simple grilled entrees, ice creams and fruits are available.  Open daily from 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m., seats 34.

The Cigar Divan

                                                The Cigar Divan provides an intimate setting for guests to relax and enjoy the elegant, traditional setting of this semi-formal bar.  A selection of classical cocktails, and aperitifs are offered, together with a range of fine Cognacs, Wines and Champagne.  The Cigar Divan reflects the art, culture and ancient traditions of bar-tending and cigar lighting in the present setting of a modern era.  Seats 44.

Lobby Lounge, Library Bar & Patio   

The expansive views of the horizon provide a dramatic backdrop for the golden Pharaonic waterfalls and Italian marble featured throughout the Lobby Lounge and Library Bar. A large island bar and outdoor patio seating are also available for guests relaxation and enjoyment.

The Ritz-Carlton tradition of offering afternoon English Tea Service becomes exotic with the addition of Egyptian and Mediterranean grown teas. International culinary staff prepare the finest delicacies to complement the tea service. Additional beverages include French Pressed coffee, Iced coffees and tea, wines by the glass and an expansive selection of refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations.

The Lobby tranforms to an entertainment venue with live bands performing from 9.00 p.m. nightly.

In Room Dining

                                                Available 24 hours a day with a wide selection of menu choices.  Guests can enjoy a meal on the privacy of their own terrace. 

Conferences, Incentives & Banquet Facilities:           

The resort offers some of the best equipped banquet and meeting facilities in the region designed to support any meeting  or event planner. Facilities include three function rooms, an outdoor amphitheater and acres of ‘al fresco’ banquet venues. The outdoor banquet facilities are second to none and are surrounded by the vast and magnificently designed pools and landscaped tropical gardens. The splendid view of the Red Sea, Tiran Island and the intimate reef cove beaches further enliven the senses and instill well-being.

This unique outdoor Amphitheater is nestled in a private cove directly on the Red Sea and is a perfect venue for a starlit dinner or a “Concert By the Sea”.

Pool-Side/Out Door Garden & PrivateBeach Coves:

These facilities are located overlooking the Red Sea and can accommodate a cocktail reception up to 800 guests and a sit down theme dinner for up to 600 guests.

The Marquee:  

This is not an ordinary generic conference room that could be anywhere in the world:- it takes the form of an exotic Arabian Marquee set amongst lush tropical foliage.  The fully airconditioned facility can be totally blocked for audio visual presentations.

Designed and built in Cairo by The Royal Tent Company,  the Marquee measures 990 square metres.  

  Shopping Arcade:              

Specialty shops are located in the resort’s Lobby including a Ritz-Carlton Logo shop, a book shop selling souvenirs and postcards and a jewellery shop.  Also located in this are the HSBC Bank for currency exchange and Raja Tours, for sightseeing, expeditions and car rental.

Climate:

Summers are hot and dry and can also include some humidity around the northern regions, with July and August being the hottest months.  Winters are mild with minimal rainfall, sunny days and cool evenings.  Spring and Autumn are very short seasons.
