Blue Mosque - (Sultanahmet Camii) located in Sultanahmet Square it is the most famous mosques in the city, builtSultanahment Mosque in the early 17th century, distinguished by six slender minarets and walls covered with amazing blue Iznik tiles. Open every day except during prayer times.

The Hippodrome – These ruins were once the location for wild beast fights and horse races.  Located here is the Egyptian obelisk and Constantinople’s obelisk.

The Bosphorus - The straits that divide Europe from Asia and define Istanbul. A trip to the city would not be complete without a cruise up and down its shores. Imperial palaces are interspersed with wooden seaside mansions, decorative ferry landings, the twin fortresses of Rumeli Hisar and Anadolu Hisar, and two intercontinental bridges.

Columns at HippodromeThe Princess Islands - A group of nine islands, four of them - Kinaliada, Burgazadaa, Heeybeliada and Buyukada -- inhabited. A favorite summer place since Byzantine times, the islands is a haven of quiet. With their beautiful villas and pine groves, they offer lovely walks all year round. No private cars are allowed so transportation is either by foot, horse drawn carriage, or donkey.

UPAkmerkez - This is a giant, very luxurious shopping mall which offers everything a shopping pro would need, from exclusive international brands (including to eateries and a super food market, to cinemas). Open 7 days a week, 10.00-22.00

Topkapi Palace - This is definitely a highlight of any visit to Istanbul. Built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet (The Conqueror)The Bosphorus Strait overlooking the sea. Tour the extensive rooms from the seven gates, to the huge kitchen, to government offices and quarters, to the private quarters of the Sultans and their harem. The rooms are full of Mehmet the Conquerer - Portrait displayed in Topkapi Palace exhibitions of the items collected by the Sultans. From the extensive Chinese ceramic collection to kitchen utensils to weapons, gifts from visitors, clothes, and the highlight, its jewels, including the 86 carat Kasikci (Spoonmaker) Diamond. As if that is not enough, see the personal belongings of the Prophet Mohammed including his Mantle, swords, handwritten letters, a tooth, beard hairs, footprints. Also see artifacts from the original Kaaba in Mecca.

The Grand Bazaar - The foundations of one of the most outstanding covered markets of Istanbul, the Grand Bazaar, which stretch from Beyazit to Nuruosmaniye, were laid out immediately after the conquest of Istanbul. The Conqueror first laid the foundations of the old bedesten (market), and these were followed by those of the Sandal bedesten. The bazaar grew from shops and hans, lining the streets, which had the space between covered over for more convenient shopping. The resulting arcades were covered with roofs and arches, and were illuminated by clerestory windows. Each street became the center of one particular trade, such as the street of the slipper - makers, furniture - makers and quilt - makers.
